Juggling at the Howel Classic

The Juggler Man will be at the Howe Library’s Howel Open on Sunday, March 23 from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

In amongst the 18-hole mini-golf, the pizza, and the treats, you can come by and learn to juggle. I’ll show you how to juggle balls and clubs, spin plates, twirl lassos, and play with lots of other juggling props. For more information about the Howel Classic, check out the Howel Classic site.

Let’s have some fun in the Library! See you there!

Enfield Shaker Museum – Silent Auction

The Enfield Shaker Museum has their “Taste, Toast, and Tour: An Auction Fundraising Event” planned for 12 April 2014. It’ll be an evening of pairings of cocktails and appetizers while touring through the Great Stone Dwelling followed by an auction featuring entertainment and exciting prizes donated by local businesses and a decadent dessert.

And if you have a hankering to learn to juggle, be sure to bid on the Juggling Lesson item! For more information, see their site at: http://www.shakermuseum.org/calendarofevents.htm

CCA Circus Spectacular in Brattleboro

Lin and I went to the Circus Spectacular in the Brattleboro yesterday. It’s a show put on by the New England Center for Circus Arts. Wow! What a great show. Juggling (of course) plus aerial dance, clowning, trapeze, fabric, Spanish web, all from their professional graduates.

If you ever get a chance to see a show from NECCA, take it.

Another lesson goes on the block at the Rowathon!

Here’s another chance to win a juggling lesson! Friends of Hanover Crew is sponsoring a fundraiser for the Hanover High rowing team. Contact Julie Stevenson for more information about the event.

While all the team members are rowing their hearts out, you have a chance to look over all the amazing items donated for the silent auction. My rowing lesson will be present as well. Come by the Black Center in Hanover on 8 March 2014 between 7am and 7pm, and cheer the rowers on!

Santa was kind…

Santa brought a sweet set of juggling clubs over the holidays. They are the the Zappa clubs from Higgins Brothers, at http://www.higginsbrothers.com/buyzappa.htm. I think there was a sale last year, but even at the current $15 price each, they’re a good deal.

They look great – very flashy and professional, and seem quite well made, which is important because my equipment takes a beating when I let others use it for juggling lessons.
